The premise
The setup takes two lines. Dad leaves for a weekend of fishing and asks his young wife, Riley, to look after his son, who is home from college for two days. Riley, it turns out, has been looking after him for a while. He did not notice.
The series comes with a clock built in: a weekend, a house without the father, and two days before he returns. Five episodes of under two minutes each fit that window, and the story has no subplot to slow it down.
